About This Position

The successful candidate will join Avitide and undertake affinity resin manufacturing efforts as an integral role in the expanding manufacturing team.  Responsibilities will center upon maintenance of the manufacturing clean room and process equipment used in performing resin activation and conjugation to ensure on-time delivery of our high quality affinity resin solutions. A key aspect of this is that manufacturing is undertaken in a quality environment to ISO9001:2015 standards with an emphasis on continual improvement of the process whilst maintaining consistency of the products. Avitide seeks candidates who are highly self-motivated to learn and can work in a collaborative fashion with other interdisciplinary team members in a fast-paced company that seeks to transform downstream bioprocessing.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree (BS/MS) in biological sciences, biochemistry, or biochemical/chemical engineering
  • 1-3 years manufacturing operations experience
  • Experience working in a clean room environment, under a quality management system or other regulated environment is desirable
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and a strict attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Adept with standard software packages (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Timely and strong communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain our manufacturing clean room to ISO 8 specifications
  • Develop and maintain clean room standards to enable sterile manufacturing
  • Work under the guidance of Avitide’s Head of Manufacturing to meet delivery schedules
  • Execute batch records in the manufacturing of materials
  • Work with the Manufacturing team to develop and implement improved manufacturing processes
  • Documentation of verification records for the clean room and all processing equipment
  • Completion of all necessary quality documentation for manufacturing operations
